About the Quality of Our Genuine Pressed Amber:
- No plastic, epoxy, or any other non-pressed amber materials are used in our products
- Genuine pressed ambers do not ignite; they immediately carbonize and emit a characteristic odor when burned.
- They change color when soaked in bleach and return to their original color after drying for a while.
- They become more lustrous and glassy over time.
- They change color at different tones and speeds depending on the user's hand sweat.
- They are not conductive and do not become magnetic through friction (they do not attract hair or cigarette ashes).
- They are in Bakelite form, discovered by Leo Hendrik Baekeland in 1909.
- They became widely used globally in the 1940s and 1950s.
- There is no such thing as pressed amber from the Ottoman period.
- They have the hardness and workability suitable for machine processing.
- They have a characteristic odor and do not smell like pine trees.
- Since they are made from chemicals, they should be worked in a ventilated area or outdoors.
- Their dust can be harmful, so avoid inhaling it.
